Nestled in west Abbotsford, Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery boasts quaint rural scenery and adorable French vibes. Enjoy a slow and thoughtful seated wine tasting featuring nearly their entire wine line up while the sounds of smooth jazz set the vibe in the tasting room.
A tasting at Seaside is the perfect blend of a little bit cozy, and a little bit bougie. Stepping into the chapel-like tasting room feels like you entered another world but it also feels like home. Ya know the feeling?
Opening in 2017, they grow Petit Milo, a white grape they use to make both a single-varietal still wine as well as a canned sparkling wine Daffodils. On their Fraser Valley estate they also grow Gewürztraminer and Cabernet Foch (which is a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Marechal Foch). Seaside works closely with vineyards in the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys where they use specially selected grapes for their wines as well.
I am a big fan of the wines from Seaside Pearl. They have so many delicate and beautiful wines to choose from but I have a hard time passing on their Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Franc and Merlot!
Fun fact: All of their wines are single vineyard wines! This means that for each wine, all the grapes used for that wine are from the exact same vineyard. This makes it so Seaside Pearl’s wines truly show off the unique terroir of vineyards around BC!
Check out my other fave wineries in the Fraser Valley!
